World No. 1 Rory McIlroy, who makes his first appearance at the RBC Challenge since 2009, tees off at 7:40 a.m. ET from the 10th hole alongside Rickie Fowler and defending champion C.T. Pan. The trio aren’t the only big names to get their tournament underway from the 10th hole on Thursday.
Harold Varner III, who led the first two rounds of the Charles Schwab Challenge last week, is scheduled to tee off at 7:07 a.m. alongside Joel Dahmen and Harry Higgs, followed by three-time major winner Jordan Spieth, Kevin Kisner and Zach Johnson 10 minutes later.
Daniel Berger, last week’s winner, tees of at 7:29 a.m. along with world No. 4 Brooks Koepka and world No. 6 Patrick Reed. Collin Morikawa, who lost the playoff to Berger last week, will tee off at 8:02 a.m. along with Tony Finau and Jim Furyk.
Sergio Garcia, the 2017 Masters winner, will tee off from the first hole at 7:18 a.m. along with Kevin Tway and Cameron Smith, with world No. 10 Xander Schauffele also beginning from the first tee along with Ted Potter Jr. and Steward Cink at 8:13 a.m.
The afternoon groups will see Bryson DeChambeau, who finished tied for third at the Charles Schwab Challenge last week, begin the tournament from the first tee together with world No. 9 Webb Simpson and Davis Love III.
The trio will be followed by 2019 U.S. Open champion Gary Woodland, 2016 PGA Championship winner Dustin Johnson and Hideki Matsuyama at 12:54 p.m., with Jon Rahm and Justin Thomas, the world No. 2 and No. 3 respectively, teeing off at 1:05 p.m. alongside Justin Rose.
